FULLY KNOWN…
And Loved By Him.
Known by Tauren Wells is one of my favorite songs. The array of emotions I experienced this weekend has brought this song back to rotation.
Have you ever had a moment where you couldn’t quite explain what you were feeling?
Nothing was necessarily wrong… but something felt heavy or unclear?
You tried to put words to it, but nothing came out right.
And in that moment, you realized something sacred:
You don’t have to explain it… because you are already KNOWN.
Known…
The kind of known that reaches beyond your words, beyond your emotions, and beyond your understanding.
Scripture reminds us in Psalm 139:1–4:
“Lord, you have searched me and you know me… before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely.”
Before you process it, He knows.
Before you say it, He understands.
Before you even recognize it, He has already searched it out.
From the number of hairs on your head…
to the very breaths you take in a day…
You are known by Him.
He knows every wound.
Every story.
Even the lies we sometimes choose to believe.
Nothing escapes Him and nothing catches Him by surprise.
He knows your inner thoughts, both pure and impure.
He knows what makes you angry… and what makes you come alive.
He understands your quirks and He is not annoyed by your questions.
You are KNOWN by Him.
And there is an unexplainable relief that comes with that revelation.
Because when you realize you are fully known by God, you stop striving to be fully understood by people.
Three Scriptures to Stand On When You Question If You’re Known
1. Jeremiah 1:5
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you…”
God’s knowledge of you didn’t start when you introduced yourself, it started before you existed. Your identity is not evolving… it was established.
2. Luke 12:7
“Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered.”
God’s knowledge of you is not surface-level—it is intimate, detailed, and intentional. Nothing about you is overlooked.
3. 1 Corinthians 8:3
“But whoever loves God is known by God.”
You are not just trying to know Him…He already knows you. You are not forgotten. You are recognized by Heaven.
Now, Let Me Share This Why This Matters To Me…
Because there is a generation of teen girls growing up right now who are being told who they are, by culture, by social media, and by… the world.
And many of them are visible…
…but don’t feel known.
That’s why the Holy Spirit has placed a burden on my heart to commission our girls to walk in the truth that:
They are KNOWN by Him.
When a girl truly understands her identity in Christ, everything shifts.
The world can speak…
but she no longer allows it to defines her.
Because once she knows who she is in Him,
no devil in hell and no person on earth can make her question it.
This Summer, I am hosting the I AM KNOWN Teen Girl Conference
July 31 – August 1
at our partnering church Strong Tower Ministries.
This will be a powerful, life-shifting experience for teen girls, including:
Real and raw testimonies from women who have overcome identity struggles, including homosexuality
