SOUND: You Speak What You Believe

Sound: You Speak What You Believe

One of the most powerful tools we all own is our tongue.

Proverbs 18:21 says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: And they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." We often underestimate the power of our words. But as Christians, our voices can be instruments of transformation and hope. The question for today is, "What are you speaking?"

Being created in God's image, we share His divine gift of creativity.

Just as He spoke the universe into existence, our words have the power to create and shape the world around us. Our words can bring life and hope to those we encounter. Our words also have the power to shape our reality. YOU ARE WHAT YOU SPEAK! I started speaking affirmations over my 6-year-old son, Creed when he was in my womb. Then I began teaching him these affirmations requiring him to say his "I AM" statements every morning after prayer at the age of 2. Now, he says them daily without my assistance, and everything he speaks over himself, I've seen him become. But even beyond teaching him how to speak life, I'm intentional with modeling this behavior. Most call me the affirmation queen. They know, I will speak life and encourage you to do the same.

You see, the power of our words can shape lives and share love. But with great power comes great responsibility. As Christians, we must use our words carefully and lovingly. James 3:9-10 reminds us, "With the tongue, we praise our lord and Father, and with it, we curse human beings, who have been made in God's likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be."

The Bible is a wellspring of wisdom and truth. Sharing and discussing the scriptures with others is an opportunity to impart God's timeless wisdom through our words. The knowledge and insight we gain from the Word of God can illuminate the path for those around us. We must commit to harnessing the incredible power of our words for good, for love, and for Christ. Each conversation we have, each word we speak, is an opportunity to manifest God's love and grace in the lives of those around us.

As we navigate our daily lives, let us remember the beautiful potential within our words. Here is an affirmation to speak for this week:

KNOW THE POWER OF I AM

"I Am Chosen

I have been selected as the best for the job. I was chosen before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless before Him in love. Eph. 1:4 For many are called but only a few are chosen. Matt. 22:14. 1 have been chosen to fulfill a specific task that only I can do, and I proudly take the challenge. I Am CHOSEN!"

Speak this affirmation daily and remind yourself that you were chosen for such a time as this. There is power in your tongue.

Use it wisely.
